FINANCE

As an appealing destination for foreign investment, Indonesia offers investment support in the form of, among others, loans from a Bank or another financial institution, either domestic or foreign. Any variety of lending structure may be tailored to the needs of the borrower, conforming to existing regulatory limits and lender security. GAP can guide foreign or local lenders or borrowers through changes in legislation and their enforcement, in an era of fluid advances. We handle loan documentations whether bilateral, club or syndicated, including the security documents. We are also involved in project finance and various debt restructuring activities, and continuously provide advice on regulatory compliance.

GAP represented PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk in its debts restructuring in a total amount of approximately Rp.9.4 trillion from local and foreign creditors. The debts were settled by conversion into shares and mandatory convertible bonds conducted through non preemptive rights issue.

In early 2022, we represented PT Ceria Metalindo Prima in a project finance deal in the amount of USD277,690,000 from a syndication of local banks led by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. PT Ceria Metalindo Prima is a ferro nickel smelting company and the financing was for the establishment of its smelter facility, Rotary Klin Electric Furnace (RKEF) 1 x 72 MVA.
