Genio Atyanto majored in Business Law in the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, which awarded him a Master of Law in 2003. He had also secured a Bachelor of Economics in 1999, majoring in Financial Management, and a Bachelor of Law from the same university in the same year.

In addition, he belongs to the Indonesian Advocates Association, and is a Registered Legal Consultant with the Financial Services Authority, or OJK (ex-BAPEPAM-LK). He is also the management of the Indonesia Capital Market Legal Consultants Association.

Genio has worked with Indonesian legal firms allied to major U.S.A. and U.K.-based ‘magic circle’ legal firms, handling major corporate accounts. He has experience in various capital market transactions, mergers & acquisitions, banking and general corporate commercial work. His expertise is acknowledged in structuring transactions, providing legal advice, expert drafting and negotiating transaction documents, preparing prospectuses or offering memoranda for securities offers, and organizing information for shareholders, in the framework of material transactions or conflict of interest transactions, along with manifold other matters relating to initial public offerings (IPOs), rights issues, bond issuances and other corporate actions as conducted by public or private companies. 

Genio has been recognized as a “Highly Regarded” lawyer in the IFLR1000 rankings. In addition, he was listed among the Top 5 Lawyers for Most IPO Transactions in 2023 by hukumonline.com and ranked as one of the Top 5 Most Active Lawyers for IPO Transactions from 2018 to 2023.


Desi Dwitiasrini is a Partner in Genio Atyanto & Partners. She specialises in debt finance, financial restructuring, M&A and financing structures. Desi has substantial experience in banking & finance, corporate and major projects and has particular expertise in the mining and property sectors. She has worked with various clients from different sectors, including commercial lenders, sponsors, private companies and government agencies.

Before joining GAP, Desi developed her career in the Indonesia associated-offices of major International law firms working alongside international team of lawyer in domestic and cross-border transaction.

Desi is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) and a Registered Legal Consultant with the Financial Services Authority. She was recognised in the “Rising Stars” list by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2023 (Indonesia, Banking & Finance)
